Errol Flynn 1959 Signed Letter With Early Photo
TLS
Errol Flynn (1909-1959). Typed Letter Signed, "Errol", in blue ink, 1p, on Hotel Comodoro letterhead, 8.5" x 11", Havana, Cuba, March 5, 1959. Expected folds and creases. Toning, soiling and scattered foxing. In very good plus to near fine condition. Accompanied by a 2.25" x 3.25" early photograph of Flynn seated on a boat.

Just months prior to his death, Flynn writes to Earl Conrad (1906-1986), the author who collaborated on Flynn's autobiography, "My Wicked, Wicked Ways", concerning the book and payment to Conrad. In part: "Take out of your file your letter of March 2nd and start at the bottom and work upwards. It needs no change of mind on my part to agree that you get your share instantly the money arrives. When it comes in, just go to Jud, who I think gets the dough before, or at the same time, as Carlton Cole...I am still trying to find; (1) a title; (2) an opening...if neither Putnam's won't advance you any dough, I will, and I told you that...Show this letter to Jud, because I never had a chance to discuss it with him, but I am perfectly agreeable to advance you a grand. Still going from bottom to top, I will write what you suggest...Will also whip up something that I can recall about that murder trial..."
