Eisenhower Dwight 1890 - 1969 Dwight Eisenhower signed Free Frank, with bilingual Safe Conduct pass

Buff colored "Allied Force Headquarters, Office of the Commander-in-Chief" Free Frank envelope signed "Dwight D Eisenhower" as U.S. Army General and censor in black fountain pen at left. Typed return address and addressee "Mrs. Dwight D. Eisenhower/ Wardman Park Hotel/ Apartment 208-H/ Washington D.C". With New York slogan machine cancel pencil inscribed "Free" at top right, June 29, 1943 New York, NY postmark, and purple examiner's date stamp from Army Base 2134. In very fine condition measuring 8.25" x 3.875". Neatly sliced along top with isolated light handling marks along right side. Accompanied by an original airdrop bilingual Safe Conduct pass enabling surrendering German soldier to seek food, shelter, and protection from Allied forces, autosigned twice by Dwight D. Eisenhower. In extra fine condition, measuring 4.25" x 7".

Envelope comes with a Philatelic Foundation signed and embossed certificate of authenticity, serial number G 294654.
