A group of (8) documents from  Presidents Andrew Jackson, Martin Van Buren, and FDR, among other military and political notables. Expected document folds, creasing, and foxing throughout. An expansive collection! The lot comprises of:

1. Andrew Jackson Land Deed, measuring 10" x 16.25", dated August 12, 1834, Washington, D.C. A document Secretarial Andrew Jackson and countersigned by Commissioner of the General Land Office Elijah Hayward, naming David Adams of Dallas County Alabama the owner of "the west half of the south west quarter of section twenty six in township sixteen…".

2. Secretarial Martin Van Buren Land Deed, measuring 10" x 16.25", dated August 7, 1837, Washington, D.C. A document signed by Martin Van Buren and countersigned by Acting Recorder of the General Land Office Jos. S. Wilson naming Martin R. Burt of Autauga County Alabama the owner of "the west half of the south east quarter, and the east half of the south west quarter of section twenty five…".

3. Printed Signature FDR WWII Purple Heart Death Accolade, measuring 16" x 20", February 2, 1944, Washington, D.C. Document signed "Franklin Roosevelt" honoring Seaman Vernon Elwin Bylow, who was presumed dead after the sinking of the U.S.S. DeHaven during an airstrike in 1943.

4. Hamilton Fish Citizenship DS, measuring 12" x 17", dated May 8, 1873, Washington, D.C. A document signed by Secretary of State Hamilton Fish to "permit safety and freely pass Samuel S. Coustant accompanied by his wife & two minor[?] children a citizen of the United States..."

5. USMC War Service Certificate, 10.75" x 18.25", n.d., n.p. A document acknowledging the active service of Marine Howard McCleery between October 21, 1918 and March 2, 1920.

6. (3) Documents from scholar Henry Joseph Cox, ranging between 8" x 10" and 17" x 21.5", Various places, Various dates. Including a Bachelor Degree from Harvard University, Doctorate from the University of Norwich, and discharge paper from the Army of the United States.

Unless otherwise indicated, we do our own in-house worldwide shipping!

Applicable shipping and handling charges will be added to the invoice. We offer several shipping options, and remain one of the few auction houses who proudly provides professional in-house shipping as an option to our clients. All items will ship with signature required, and full insurance. Most items are sent via Federal Express, with P. O. Box addresses being sent through USPS. We insure through Berkley Asset Protection with rates of $.70 per $100 of value, among the lowest insurance rates in the industry. Our shipping department cameras document every package, both outgoing and incoming, for maximum security. In addition, we compare our shipping and handling rates against those of other auction houses, to ensure that our charges are among the lowest in the trade.

Upon winning your item(s), you will receive an invoice with our in-house shipping and handling fees included. ***We will ship to the address as it appears on your invoice. If any changes to the shipping address need to be made, you must inform us immediately.***

International shipments: In order to comply with our insurance provider, all international shipments will be sent via Fed Ex and customs paperwork will show a value of $1.00. International buyers should contact our office directly with any questions regarding this policy.

Third Party Shipping Option: If a third party shipper is preferred, the buyer is responsible for contacting them directly to make shipping arrangements. For your convenience, we have provided some recommended shippers.
