Dick Zimmerman Signed "Thriller" Album With LOA
Album
Michael Jackson's "Thriller" album with lengthy handwritten inscription by celebrated artist and photographer Dick Zimmerman in white ink on the gatefold. 12.5" x 12.5" double album is in near fine condition. With Letter of Authenticity by Zimmerman and image of him signing.

Zimmerman pens his memories of photographing Jackson for the album's cover, in full: "This iconic photograph of Michael Jackson for the cover of his Thriller album is the most circulated image of any human being in history. Michael and I decided that he would love a tiger cub to join him in the photograph as he loved jungle animals. The session lasted 6 to 7 hours with several wardrobe changes - Michael's favorite being the white suit I was wearing that day. As our height and build were about the same there was no problem! Three days later I met Michael at the recording studio where they were finishing the album. Michael was very happy to see the results, but after much deliberation he said 'There are too many good ones, I can't decide' and with that ran to get Quincy Jones to help. Quincy took one look at the film spread out on the light table, and in 15 seconds with total confidence pointed to his choice, 'There's your album cover Michael!' History was made that day as it's since become the iconic image recognized the world over / Dick Zimmerman / 'Thriller' Cover Photographer".

Dubbed the "King of Pop", Michael Jackson (1958-2009) is regarded as one of the most significant cultural figures of the 20th century. "Thriller" is his sixth studio album, released by Epic Records on November 29, 1982. It was produced by Quincy Jones, who previously worked with Jackson on his 1979 album "Off the Wall". "Thriller" remains the best-selling album of all time, having sold an estimated 70 million copies worldwide.
