1.) Dave Berg Illustration Boards, 5pp, measuring between 14.375" x 22" and 18.25" x 23.5", n.p., Ca. March 1975. Notated illustration boards of Dave Berg's strip titled The Lighter Side of Collecting from MAD Magazine Issue #173. Consists of (1) titled splash page and (4) illustration boards, all notated with corresponding placement within the printed magazine. Boards are stamped with E.C. Publications copyright on verso.

2.) Sergio Aragonés Illustration Boards, 2pp on Bristol Board, measuring between 17" x 19.75" and 19.375" x 26", n.p., n.d. Notated illustration boards of Sergio Aragonés' strip titled A Mad Look at Musicians for MAD Magazine Issue #111. Includes (2) separate but related pieces, both stamped with E.C. Publications copyright on verso.

Light toning and soiling to all, with evidence of prior mounting to some and uneven edges throughout. Does not take away from Berg's and Aragonés' wonderful art and humor. Overall fine condition- a unique set!

David Berg (1920-2002) got his start in the comic industry in the 1940s working for the studio of Will Eisner, as well as Stan Lee's Timely Comics (later known as Marvel). He began work at MAD in 1957, and would continue to contribute up until his death, gaining popularity for his beloved Lighter Side series. Sergio Aragonés (1937-), Spanish-born cartoonist and co-creator of fantasy comic Groo the Wanderer, began his contributions to MAD in 1963, where he became known for his A Mad Look At… series which commonly appeared in the magazine's margins.

Applicable shipping and handling charges will be added to the invoice. We offer several shipping options, and remain one of the few auction houses who proudly provides professional in-house shipping as an option to our clients. All items will ship with signature required, and full insurance. Most items are sent via Federal Express, with P. O. Box addresses being sent through USPS. We insure through Berkley Asset Protection with rates of $.70 per $100 of value, among the lowest insurance rates in the industry. Our shipping department cameras document every package, both outgoing and incoming, for maximum security. In addition, we compare our shipping and handling rates against those of other auction houses, to ensure that our charges are among the lowest in the trade.

Upon winning your item(s), you will receive an invoice with our in-house shipping and handling fees included. ***We will ship to the address as it appears on your invoice. If any changes to the shipping address need to be made, you must inform us immediately.***

International shipments: In order to comply with our insurance provider, all international shipments will be sent via Fed Ex and customs paperwork will show a value of $1.00. International buyers should contact our office directly with any questions regarding this policy.
