A fantastic grouping perfect for dealers or presidential book collectors, consisting of seven books by, about, or related to U.S. Presidents Grant, Garfield, Kennedy, Ford, and Bush. Many first or limited edition, some signed.

The lot includes:

- Out of Many, One by George W. Bush. New York: Crown, 2021. First Edition. Portraits of America's Immigrants signed, "George Bush", in thick black felt tip on the half-title page. 208pp, 8.25" x 10.25". Bright red endpapers. Colorful dust jacket is intact and in near fine condition with just a bit of wear at edges. Book appears unread and is in fine condition. Very boldly signed.

- A Time To Heal by Gerald R. Ford. Collector's Edition signed, "Gerald R. Ford", on the limitation page. Norwalk, Connecticut: Easton Press, 1987. Includes an 8pp staple bound pamphlet with special introduction by Dr. Henry A. Kissinger, former Secretary of State and National Security Advisor during the Ford Administration. 454pp, 6.5" x 9.5". Easton Press bookplate at front pastedown. Dark red premium leather with decorative gilt accents and gilt titling on spine. Patterned endpapers. Satin ribbon page marker. Gilded page ends show just a bit of wear. Inner pages clean and crisp. In near fine condition and boldly signed.

- Elements of Algebra by G.A. Wentworth. Personally owned and used by Mary "Mollie" Garfield, daughter of President James A. Garfield. Ownership signature and date to the front free endpaper as "Mollie Garfield / September 23d, 1884". Signed a second time at the rear pastedown, "Mollie Garfield". Boston: Ginn, Heath, & Co., 1884. Annotations and mathematical calculations in graphite throughout. 510pp, 5.25" x 7.5". Quarter leather boards with brown cloth show expected scuffing, peeling, and corner bumping. Spine cloth no longer present. Binding is shaken but holding, with the mull showing along the gutter of the front and rear endpapers. Text block soiled. Inner pages age toned. In good condition.

- Personal Memoirs of U.S. Grant. New York: Charles L. Webster, 1885-1886. First Edition. Unsigned. 584pp [Vol. I]; 647pp [Vol. II]. 6" x 9". Two volume set in publisher's full leather with marbled endpapers. Frontispiece portraits of Grant in both volumes. Illustrated throughout with numerous steel engravings, facsimiles, and over forty maps. Leather is partially detached at spines and partially to fully detached at covers. Leather with age deterioration resulting in powdery dust, not uncommon for this sheepskin edition. Interior and text block with toning and occasional foxing. Perfect candidate for rebinding.

- The Burden and The Glory by John F. Kennedy. New York: Harper & Row, 1964. First Edition. With a special foreword by President Lyndon B. Johnson. A collection of Kennedy's public statements and addresses given during his second and third years in office. Unsigned. 293pp, 6" x 8.5". Dust jacket with mylar cover is present and is in very good condition with chipping and light nicks. Black cloth covered boards with gilt lettering show minor shelf wear and a bit of discoloration at top edge. Inner pages clean with light toning to the text block. In near fine condition.

- The Cape Cod Years of John Fitzgerald Kennedy by Leo Damore. Englewood Cliffs: Prentice-Hall, Inc., 1967. First Printing. An exploration of the relationship between the Kennedy family and Cape Cod, Massachusetts. Unsigned. 262pp, 6.25" x 9.25". Price-clipped dust jacket with mylar cover is present and is in very good plus condition, showing just a bit of light wear. Light green cloth boards have blind embossed seagulls on the front cover. Navy spine with gilt lettering and gilt seagulls. Minor discoloration to edges of boards, with some bumping to corners. Inner pages clean. In near fine condition.

Unless otherwise indicated, we do our own in-house world-wide shipping!

Applicable shipping and handling charges will be added to the invoice. We offer several shipping options, and remain one of the few auction houses that proudly provides professional in-house shipping as an option to our clients. All items will ship with a signature required option, and full insurance. Most items are sent via Federal Express, with P. O. Box addresses being sent through USPS. We insure through Berkley Asset Protection with rates of $.70 per $100 of value, among the lowest insurance rates in the industry. Our shipping department cameras document every package, both outgoing and incoming, for maximum security. In addition, we compare our shipping and handling rates against those of other auction houses, to ensure that our charges are among the lowest in the trade.

Upon winning your item(s), you will receive an invoice with our in-house shipping and handling fees included. ***We will ship to the address as it appears on your invoice. If any changes to the shipping address need to be made, you must inform us immediately.***

International shipments: In order to comply with our insurance provider, all international shipments will be sent via Fed Ex and customs paperwork will show a value of $1.00. International buyers should contact our office directly with any questions regarding this policy.

Third-Party Shipping Option: If a third-party shipper is preferred, the buyer is responsible for contacting them directly to make shipping arrangements. For your convenience, we have provided some recommended shippers. For your protection, we will require a signed release from you, confirming your authorization for us to release your lots to your specified third-party. At that point, our responsibility and insurance coverage for your item(s) ceases. Items picked up by third-party shippers are required to pay Connecticut sales tax. Items requiring third-party shipping due to being oversized, fragile or bulky will be denoted in the item description.
