Dealers' Lot Military Autographs WWII to Present, 10+ Signers, 15+ Pieces Total

A dealers' lot of military autographs representing 11 signers, comprised of 17 pieces. Autographed material includes signed cards, signed photos, signed commemorative covers, and typed letters signed. Please refer to catalog photos for additional information related to condition, which shows isolated wear but is overall very good. We've done our best, but there could be secretarial or facsimile signatures found within this collection.

The lot includes the following signers organized alphabetically:

James Doolittle & Tokyo Raiders

- James H. Doolittle (1896-1993), two pieces, including a Doolittle signed manila index card as "J.H. Doolittle," accompanied by a black and white glossy photo reprint showing Doolittle standing in front of an aircraft, 5" x 7."

- A photo reprint of a vintage photograph showing WWII aircraft carrier U.S.S. Hornet, signed by 4 of the 80 U.S. Air Force participants of the April 18, 1942 Doolittle Raid. Signed and inscribed by, from left to right: Richard E. Cole (1915-2019), as "RE Cole/copilot crew #1"; William M. Bower (1917-2011), as "Bill Bower"; Thomas C. Griffin (1916-2013), as "Tom Griffin NAV #9"; David J. Thatcher (1921-2016), as "David J. Thatcher / Engineer - Gunner Crew #7."

Curtis LeMay

- Curtis LeMay (1906-1990), a photographic print signed and inscribed by LeMay as, "To Maj Charles Thompson / with best wishes / Curtis LeMay / Gen USAF" at bottom right. Scattered minor to moderate wrinkles inside and outside of the image, with a very legible inscription. Overall size: 11" x 13.875."

William H. McRaven

- William H. McRaven (born 1955), an 8" x 10" glossy color photograph on Fujifilm paper boldly signed by McRaven in gold felt tip pen as "Bill McRaven / Admiral" at lower center.

Leon E. Panetta

- Leon E. Panetta (born 1938), four pieces, including an 8" x 10" color glossy photograph, signed at upper left; a signed "The White House" card; and a 1p typed letter signed on "The White House / Washington" stationery dated August 24, 1994, with original transmittal envelope. Expected minor wear including corner wrinkles and flattened paper folds, else near fine.

Norman Schwarzkopf

- Norman Schwarzkopf (1934-2012), two glossy color photographs on Kodak paper signed by Schwarzkopf in gold felt tip pen near bottom. The larger of the two images has a white border and measures 8" x 10" overall. Isolated wear including scattered breaks to the signature on the smaller photo, and photo album residue verso on the larger photo, else near fine.

Nancy Wake & French Resistance

- Six pieces related to French Resistance commander Nancy Wake (1912-2011) and her agents, including a "Royal Air Forces Escaping Society Maquis d'Auvergne" RAF-carried limited edition and certified commemorative cover co-signed by Nancy Wake, as "Nancy Wake"; and by her principal lieutenant Henri Tardivat, as "Henri Tardivat." Also accompanied by two printed biographical cards and three modern photo reprints.

Unless otherwise indicated, we do our own in-house worldwide shipping!

Applicable shipping and handling charges will be added to the invoice. We offer several shipping options, and remain one of the few auction houses who proudly provides professional in-house shipping as an option to our clients. All items will ship with signature required, and full insurance. Most items are sent via Federal Express, with P. O. Box addresses being sent through USPS. We insure through Berkley Asset Protection with rates of $.70 per $100 of value, among the lowest insurance rates in the industry. Our shipping department cameras document every package, both outgoing and incoming, for maximum security. In addition, we compare our shipping and handling rates against those of other auction houses, to ensure that our charges are among the lowest in the trade.

Upon winning your item(s), you will receive an invoice with our in-house shipping and handling fees included. ***We will ship to the address as it appears on your invoice. If any changes to the shipping address need to be made, you must inform us immediately.***

International shipments: In order to comply with our insurance provider, all international shipments will be sent via Fed Ex and customs paperwork will show a value of $1.00. International buyers should contact our office directly with any questions regarding this policy.

Third Party Shipping Option: If a third party shipper is preferred, the buyer is responsible for contacting them directly to make shipping arrangements. For your convenience, we have provided some recommended shippers.
