Crime in the West! 8 Western Territory Warrants, Sworn Statements, Etc. 

An archive of eight legal documents from the Western Territories of Montana, Wyoming, and Oklahoma. Varying in size, dating from 1888-1911. The documents are a mix of court claims, a sworn statement, a legal payment, and affidavits. All with flattened folds and varying degrees of toning. Some have small separations and tears at the edges. Overall, very good.

Includes the following:

1. Custer County Creditor Claim. Custer County, Montana, dated December 23, 1911. A claim of $58.35 made by Miles City, Saddling County, presented to Katie E. Warner, executor of the estate of Raymond F. Warner, deceased.

2. Custer County Creditor Claim. Custer County, Montana, dated July 26, 1888. A claim of $9.16 made by Maples & Stuart, presented to the administrator of the estate of G.P. Comstock, deceased.

3. Legal Service Payment. Pawnee, Oklahoma Territory, dated July 18, 1896. A payment of $9.00 made to Clarence Young for three days of service as a posse comitatus, from July 2-4, to assist in the arrest of N.F. Shaw.

4. Affidavit. 1st District of Oklahoma, dated April 26, 1895. Edward W. Logston swore before J.T. Sanderson that Dal Dunn et al stole 50 cattle.

5. Affidavit. 1st District of Oklahoma, dated July 9, 1894. J.W. Heixson swore before J.T. Sanderson that Malta Shults stole a horse.

6. Affidavit. 1st District of Oklahoma, dated June 20, 1895. George Hunter swore before J.T. Sanderson that ---- Hordon assisted two outlaws escape arrest.

7. Temporary Mittimus. Suthro, Oklahoma, dated May 17, 1895. Jenny Miller, who was arrested at Fort Smith on May 13 for refusing to obey the process of the U.S. District Court at Fort Smith is to be transported to Logan County Jail. Bail set at $200.

8. Sworn Legal Statement. Johnson County, Wyoming, dated October 17, 1895. The sworn statement of Attorney T.P. Hill that Albert Nard attempted to shoot and kill William J. Ewing on August 8th.

Applicable shipping and handling charges will be added to the invoice. We offer several shipping options, and remain one of the few auction houses who proudly provides professional in-house shipping as an option to our clients. All items will ship with signature required, and full insurance. Most items are sent via Federal Express, with P. O. Box addresses being sent through USPS. We insure through Berkley Asset Protection with rates of $.70 per $100 of value, among the lowest insurance rates in the industry. Our shipping department cameras document every package, both outgoing and incoming, for maximum security. In addition, we compare our shipping and handling rates against those of other auction houses, to ensure that our charges are among the lowest in the trade.

Upon winning your item(s), you will receive an invoice with our in-house shipping and handling fees included. ***We will ship to the address as it appears on your invoice. If any changes to the shipping address need to be made, you must inform us immediately.***

International shipments: In order to comply with our insurance provider, all international shipments will be sent via Fed Ex and customs paperwork will show a value of $1.00. International buyers should contact our office directly with any questions regarding this policy.

Third Party Shipping Option: If a third party shipper is preferred, the buyer is responsible for contacting them directly to make shipping arrangements. For your convenience, we have provided some recommended shippers.
