Christa Corrigan McAuliffe (1948-1986). Thoughtfully compiled Christa McAuliffe memorial archive created by dear family friends of the Corrigan family, Arthur and Nancy Marasco, including a Christmas card signed "Christa". Very slight smell of damp but overall items are in very good condition.

This grouping includes:

1) Christmas card signed by Christa McAuliffe as "Christa", 4.75" x 7".

2) Typed letter signed by F. Brooks Butler, President of the Lenox Library association establishing a space and science memorial fund in memory of McAuliffe. 1p, 7.25" x 10.5", Lenox, Massachusetts, February 10, 1986.

3) Typed letter signed by Arthur and Nancy Marasco thanking the students of Cameron and Morris Elementary Schools for contributing to the Christa Corrigan McAuliffe Memorial Fund for the Lenox Library that they established. 1p, 5.75" x 7.75", Lenox, Massachusetts, March 31, 1986.

4) Two memorial mass pamphlets in honor of Christa McAuliffe: one at St. Peter's Catholic Church in Concord, New Hampshire, February 3, 1986, the other at St. Jeremiah's Church in Framingham, Massachusetts, February 5, 1986.

5) Two programs from "A Tribute to Christa Corrigan McAuliffe" at the Massachusetts State House, Boston, Massachusetts, March 12, 1986.

6) A Lenox Elementary Schools Principal's Newsletter updating readers on the Christa McAuliffe Memorial Fund, Lenox, Massachusetts, February 14, 1986.

7) Newspaper clippings/copies detailing the establishment of the Christa McAuliffe Memorial Fund by the Marascos.

8) Kennedy Space Center STS 51-L Crew Memorial Service program, Cape Canaveral, Florida, February 1, 1986.

9) Signed black and white portrait photo of Burgess Meredith inscribed "To Art and Nancy Marasco, Thanks for telling me about the Corrigans!" and signed "Burgess Meredith" (referring to Christa's parents Ed and Grace Corrigan). 8" x 10", no place, dated "87".

10) Card and envelope from NASA to the Marascos from McAuliffe's parents inscribed "Thank you for being there for us. What would we do without you!! Love Ed and Grace", January 28, 1987.

11) Invitation to the STS 51-L launch.

12) Invitation to Pre-Launch Reception on January 21, 1986.

13) One "Teacher in Space" NASA tee shirt and one "Teacher in Space" NASA hat, as well as two 2.5" NASA Launch Guest pins.

Unless otherwise indicated, we do our own in-house world-wide shipping!

Applicable shipping and handling charges will be added to the invoice. We offer several shipping options, and remain one of the few auction houses that proudly provides professional in-house shipping as an option to our clients. All items will ship with a signature required option, and full insurance. Most items are sent via Federal Express, with P. O. Box addresses being sent through USPS. We insure through Berkley Asset Protection with rates of $.70 per $100 of value, among the lowest insurance rates in the industry. Our shipping department cameras document every package, both outgoing and incoming, for maximum security. In addition, we compare our shipping and handling rates against those of other auction houses, to ensure that our charges are among the lowest in the trade.

Upon winning your item(s), you will receive an invoice with our in-house shipping and handling fees included. ***We will ship to the address as it appears on your invoice. If any changes to the shipping address need to be made, you must inform us immediately.***

International shipments: In order to comply with our insurance provider, all international shipments will be sent via Fed Ex and customs paperwork will show a value of $1.00. International buyers should contact our office directly with any questions regarding this policy.

Third-Party Shipping Option: If a third-party shipper is preferred, the buyer is responsible for contacting them directly to make shipping arrangements. For your convenience, we have provided some recommended shippers. For your protection, we will require a signed release from you, confirming your authorization for us to release your lots to your specified third-party. At that point, our responsibility and insurance coverage for your item(s) ceases. Items picked up by third-party shippers are required to pay Connecticut sales tax. Items requiring third-party shipping due to being oversized, fragile or bulky will be denoted in the item description.

After payment has been made in full, University Archives will ship your purchase within 10 business days following receipt of full payment for item.
