A UK first edition copy of Carrie Fisher's (1956-2016), "The Princess Diarist" (London: Bantam Press, 2016), boldly signed in black marker on the title page by the author as, "Carrie Fisher / Mrs Han Solo." The hardcover book has brown boards and a gilt-embossed spine. The original vibrantly colored dust jacket shows the £16.99 retail price on the left flap. A few scuffs to the back cover, else near fine and a nice, clean copy. 257pp. 5.625" x 8.75" x 1.25." 8vo. Fisher signed this copy of her memoir at an official book signing event at Waterstones Piccadilly in London on December 11, 2016, just sixteen days before her death. Accompanied by ample provenance information relating to the Waterstones book signing, including the original entrance ticket/sales receipt from December 11, 2016.

"The Princess Diarist" was just the latest memoir written by Fisher, the beloved actress who played Princess Leia in the George Lucas created "Star Wars" franchise. The book incorporated extracts from Fisher's diary kept during "Star Wars" filming.

"The Princess Diarist" was released on November 22, 2016, just five weeks before Fisher's sudden death by of cardiac arrest. Fisher promoted her memoir first in the United States, and then in Europe. She hosted a book signing event at Waterstones Piccadilly in London on December 11, 2016 (see accompanying documentation, press announcements, and pictures.) Fisher stopped breathing on her return flight from London to Los Angeles on December 23, 2016, and died in a Los Angeles hospital on December 27, 2016, a little over two weeks after her British book signing. The memoir topped the "New York Times" Non-Fiction Best Seller list in January 2017, and Fisher's audio recording of "The Princess Diarist" earned her a posthumous 2018 Grammy Award.

All items will ship with signature required, and full insurance. Most items are sent via Federal Express, with P. O. Box addresses being sent through USPS. We insure through Berkley Asset Protection with rates of $.70 per $100 of value, among the lowest insurance rates in the industry. Our shipping department cameras document every package, both outgoing and incoming, for maximum security. In addition, we compare our shipping and handling rates against those of other auction houses, to ensure that our charges are among the lowest in the trade.
