The entry bearing Coolidge's signature is dated just over two months after he assumed office, during a period in which he continued to visit his hometown and maintain ties to Vermont. Boldly signed as "Calvin Coolidge." The ledger measures 15.25" x 10.5" and is in fine condition, with some minor tears and ink blotching.

Calvin Coolidge, the 30th President of the United States (1923–1929), was known for his steadfast integrity, conservative values, and reserved demeanor, earning him the nickname "Silent Cal." Born in the small village of Plymouth Notch, Vermont, in 1872, Coolidge rose steadily through the ranks of public service—from city councilman to Governor of Massachusetts—before becoming Vice President under Warren G. Harding. Upon Harding's sudden death in 1923, Coolidge was famously sworn in by his father at the family homestead, becoming president during a period of economic prosperity known as the "Roaring Twenties." He championed limited government, fiscal restraint, and business-friendly policies, and his presidency is often associated with calm leadership and a return to traditional American values during a time of rapid change.
