Brazilian Photographer Valdir Cruz 4 Signed Prints & Photography Book 

A group of 4 prints and a signed photography book by Brazilian photographer Valdir Cruz. Consists of two poster-sized prints, a large matted print, and a framed print which have all been signed in pencil "Valdir Cruz." The majority are from Cruz's Guarapuava and Vanomami Portraits Series, with only one unidentified. The book is a signed limited edition copy of "Catedral Basilica de Nossa Senhora da Luz dos Pinhais", which includes a signed original print as well. The two large poster-sized prints have bumped corners. All with clear signatures. Overall very good.

The group consists of:

1. Yanomami Series III - Young Girl Holding a Baby. Measuring 20" x 24", Amazon, Brazil, dated 1995. Printed in 1996, No. 3 of 25. Selenium toned.
2. Guarapuava Series - "Horse Breaking II". Measuring 24" x 20", Guarapuava, Brazil, dated 1990. Printed in 1995, unnumbered. Selenium toned.
3. Unidentified Naked Woman. Measuring 13.75" x 17", N.p., n.d. A seated naked woman on a black background. Matted to the overall 15.75" x 20".
4. Guarapuava Series - Young girl holding sweater. Measuring 8.75" x 13.25", [Guarapuava]; [1989]. Mounted, matted, and framed to the overall size of 13.5" x 18".
5. "Catedral Basilica de Nossa Senhora da Luz dos Pinhais." New York: Brave Wolf Publishers, 1996. No. 9/100 signed copies. Each with a signed original print of "Paraiso Perdido" (1993). Housed in a custom slipcase.

Valdir Cruz (b. 1952) is a Brazilian-American photographer born in Guarapuava, in the southern state of Paraná, Brazil. He became enamored with photograph in the 1970s, having admired the work of George Stone for National Geographic and began to study photography at the Germain School in 1983. The majority of his work focuses on the people, architecture and landscape of Brazil and can currently be viewed in the collections of The Museum of Modern Art, New York Public Library, and Brooklyn Museum.

Unless otherwise indicated, we do our own in-house worldwide shipping!

Applicable shipping and handling charges will be added to the invoice. We offer several shipping options, and remain one of the few auction houses who proudly provides professional in-house shipping as an option to our clients. All items will ship with signature required, and full insurance. Most items are sent via Federal Express, with P. O. Box addresses being sent through USPS. We insure through Berkley Asset Protection with rates of $.70 per $100 of value, among the lowest insurance rates in the industry. Our shipping department cameras document every package, both outgoing and incoming, for maximum security. In addition, we compare our shipping and handling rates against those of other auction houses, to ensure that our charges are among the lowest in the trade.

Upon winning your item(s), you will receive an invoice with our in-house shipping and handling fees included. ***We will ship to the address as it appears on your invoice. If any changes to the shipping address need to be made, you must inform us immediately.***

International shipments: In order to comply with our insurance provider, all international shipments will be sent via Fed Ex and customs paperwork will show a value of $1.00. International buyers should contact our office directly with any questions regarding this policy.

For your convenience, we have provided some recommended shippers.
