Co-founder of Alcoholics Anonymous (AA) Bill Wilson signed copy of the Big Book, "Alcoholics Anonymous: The Story of How Many Thousands of Men and Women Have Recovered From Alcoholism". New York: Alcoholics Anonymous Publishing Inc., 1955 second edition. Wilson inscribes the front free endpaper in blue ballpoint, "To Bob - This in gratitude for your recovery - / Ever - Bill / NY/10/3/57". Bound in blue boards with gilt lettering to spine, 575pp, 5.5" x 8.25". Sunning to spine, partial separation to back strip, separation starting along the rear joint, else good to very good condition.

Accompanied by a second printing of the AA book "Stools and Bottles", signed by its author Edward A. Webster on the front free endpaper, "My sincere good wishes to Robert L. Kistler / Ed. A. Webster / Minneapolis, Min. / August 16th 1960". Minneapolis: Coll-Webb Co., 1959. Green book with paper label on front measures 4.75" x 6.75". Light shelf wear, else near Fine condition.

William Griffith Wilson (1895-1971), also known as Bill Wilson or Bill W., was the co-founder of Alcoholics Anonymous (AA). Wilson's sobriety from alcohol, which he maintained until his death, began on December 11, 1934. Wilson died in 1971 of emphysema complicated by pneumonia from smoking tobacco. In 1999 Time listed him as "Bill W.: The Healer" in the Time 100: The Most Important People of the Century.

All items will ship with signature required, and full insurance. Most items are sent via Federal Express, with P. O. Box addresses being sent through USPS. We insure through Berkley Asset Protection with rates of $.70 per $100 of value, among the lowest insurance rates in the industry. Our shipping department cameras document every package, both outgoing and incoming, for maximum security. In addition, we compare our shipping and handling rates against those of other auction houses, to ensure that our charges are among the lowest in the trade.

Upon winning your item(s), you will receive an invoice with our in-house shipping and handling fees included. ***We will ship to the address as it appears on your invoice. If any changes to the shipping address need to be made, you must inform us immediately.***
