Single page, "The White House / Washington" letterhead note paper measuring 5" x 8". Extensively inscribed score sheet from a Scrabble game between 44th U.S. President Barack Obama (born 1961) and his eldest daughter Malia (born 1998). Obama signed the sheet as "BARACK" appearing at the top of the right column, and inscribed his daughter's name at the top of the left column. Scoring and signature rendered in graphite entirely in the hand of President Obama, with verso of the sheet blank. Folded twice, else near fine. Accompanied by impeccable provenance including a signed statement by Samuel Sutton, President Obama's personal valet. Sutton worked in such capacity at the White House under both the Obama and the George W. Bush administrations. The statement affirms his prior ownership of the item and comes with a description of the piece with an image.

An extraordinary personal piece, showcasing the results of a father and daughter one-on-one Scrabble game! President Barack Obama, as Dad for a moment, takes a personal breather from worldly cares to play Scrabble with Malia. As he battles head to head with his daughter, the game ends nearly tied, but Malia comes out as the winner 289 to 283!
