Description:

Ruth Babe

An absolute stunner! 15.5" mini Kren wood bat, multi signed. Includes an outstanding autographed vibrant dark signature of Babe Ruth, penned autographed signatures of both  "Dazzy" Vance and Hank Aaron, and Lou Gehrig's signature (possibly penned by him or alternately by his wife on his behalf). Accompanied by TWO letters of Authenticity by the two leading sport authenticators in the world, PSA/DNA and James Spence, both which feel Gehrig is clubhouse. The signature of Gehrig could be removed leaving a pristine bat without the negative of a possibly off signature. Maintains a nice patina.

In a world where it is impossible to locate an authenticate Babe Ruth signature, this bat has a dazzling example, with the added bonus of having been independently reviewed and authenticated by the two leading sports authentication firms in the world! But it does not end there, this handsome collectible includes authenticated signatures of Hank Aaron and "Dazzy" Vance.

The Kren Bat Company, originally founded in 1913 by Joseph Kren, has been used and loved by many of Baseball’s most legendary players. A gifted artist, Mr. Kren took great pride in each and every bat he made, and many semi-pro and professional teams requested the Kren model bats. With each order he tried to build a better bat, and his reputation spread across the entire nation. The Kren Bat Company manufactured over five million baseball bats right in its Syracuse, New York factory.  His “Kren’s Specials” were used by such players as Babe Ruth and Lou Gehrig, among many others. In real life, the full size bats were used by numerous great hitters, like Ruth. If he cracked his bat, he would tape Kren's address to the barrel and then throw it in the post to Syracuse so they could size it up for replacement.

A beautiful collector piece. The bat has the small penned date of 1926 which may have indicated when Babe Ruth signed the bat, with the others to follow thereafter.
