Assorted Flown Space Artifact Lot - Group of Five
Relics

Excellent grouping of five relics that were taken on space flights. It includes the following:

1) An approximately 0.75" x 0.5" piece from a MR-3 parachute used by Alan Shepard and flown on NASA's Freedom 7 first US spaceflight, mounted on a display card, 8.25" x 11.75". It is accompanied by a letter from Florian Noller and from Harold French certifying and explaining its authenticity.

2) A fragment of metal from a piece of the gantry at Launch Complex 26 at Cape Canaveral Air Station in Florida from of America's first satellite launch, measuring approximately 0.75" x 0.25". Affixed to a 6.5" x 3.5" souvenir card.

3) A 1" x 1" swatch of NASA data tape flown to the moon onboard the Apollo 15 spacecraft 'Endeavor' during July 1971 when in orbit around the moon for 145 hours. Swatch is mounted on a lunar image featuring 'Endeavor' certified by Florian Noller of SpaceFlori.

4) Small American flag, 5.5" x 4" flown aboard Space Shuttle 'Columbia' on April 12-14, 1981, mounted on an 8.5" x 11" card presented to William R. Whipkey from the director of the Lyndon B. Johnson Space Center along with John Young and Bob Crippen.

5) A 5.25" x 4" flag commemorating the Phase 1 Program, flown to the Mir Space Station aboard the Space Shuttle Discovery on mission STS-91, June 2-12, 1998. Mounted on an 11" x 14" card presented to Randy G. Deerdoff from Daniel S. Goldin NASA Administrator and Frank L. Culbertson, Jr. Manager of the Phase 1 Program.

Unless otherwise indicated, we do our own in-house world-wide shipping!

Applicable shipping and handling charges will be added to the invoice. We offer several shipping options, and remain one of the few auction houses that proudly provides professional in-house shipping as an option to our clients. All items will ship with a signature required option, and full insurance. Most items are sent via Federal Express, with P. O. Box addresses being sent through USPS. We insure through Berkley Asset Protection with rates of $.70 per $100 of value, among the lowest insurance rates in the industry. Our shipping department cameras document every package, both outgoing and incoming, for maximum security. In addition, we compare our shipping and handling rates against those of other auction houses, to ensure that our charges are among the lowest in the trade.

Upon winning your item(s), you will receive an invoice with our in-house shipping and handling fees included. ***We will ship to the address as it appears on your invoice. If any changes to the shipping address need to be made, you must inform us immediately.***

International shipments: In order to comply with our insurance provider, all international shipments will be sent via Fed Ex and customs paperwork will show a value of $1.00. International buyers should contact our office directly with any questions regarding this policy.

Third-Party Shipping Option: If a third-party shipper is preferred, the buyer is responsible for contacting them directly to make shipping arrangements. For your convenience, we have provided some recommended shippers. For your protection, we will require a signed release from you, confirming your authorization for us to release your lots to your specified third-party. At that point, our responsibility and insurance coverage for your item(s) ceases. Items picked up by third-party shippers are required to pay Connecticut sales tax. Items requiring third-party shipping due to being oversized, fragile or bulky will be denoted in the item description.
