Bean", in addition to the signatures of the supporting cast from the event. Photo size 13.5" x 10.75" and mat size 20" x 16". Just a few months after the Apollo 11 mission allowed the first men to walk  on the moon, Apollo 12 followed with another successful mission, and a very similar splashdown in the Pacific Ocean on November 24, 1969. Apollo 12 launched on November 14 from Cape Kennedy and the mission's command and service module, the "Yankee Clipper", entered lunar orbit on November 17. Two days later, lunar module Intrepid touched down in the Ocean of Storms near where the Surveyor 3 probe landed in 1967.

Commander Charles "Pete" Conrad and lunar module pilot Alan Bean traveled to the surface, while command module pilot Richard Gordon stayed in lunar orbit. The astronauts completed two moonwalks, where they collected rocks and took measurements, and visited Surveyor 3 to remove parts for analysis.
