Description:

Apollo 11 Seven Official NASA Photos, a Mission Patch, and Thermal Mylar Coating

A group of seven official NASA photos, a mission patch, and a small piece of thermal mylar coating - all related to the Apollo 11 mission and its crew. All of the photographs measure 10" x 8" and date from 1964 to 1969. One of the photographs is in color and is an official NASA red number photo. Includes: S-69-31739, AS11-40-5878, S-64-29926, S-6940147, AS11-44-6642, AS11-40-5931, and AS11-40-5948. Each photograph also has a purple NASA caption printed on verso, and one has a card taped to the back with the facsimile signatures of the three astronauts. The Apollo XI Mission patch measures 4" in diameter, showing the eagle landing on the Moon. And the piece of mylar measures 1" x 1" and is housed in a clear presentation slab measuring 2.5" in diameter. These pieces of mylar were once given to all of the astronauts involved in the Moon landing. The photographs are slightly curled, with minor wear to the corners and faint edge toning. Some further soiling on verso. The patch and mylar fragment are in very fine condition.
