7 Presidents! Archive of 7 Pcs Signed by Nixon, Ford, Carter, Reagan, Bush I, Clinton & Bush II

An archive of historical material autographed by seven U.S. Presidents, ranging from 37th U.S. President Richard Nixon up through 43rd U.S. President George W. Bush. The group is comprised of signed letters, photographs, excised book pages, and bookplates. Overall near fine; individual condition issues are noted below. The Clinton piece is accompanied by provenance material.

The lot is composed of, in chronological order:

1. A front loose endpaper or signatory page excised from a book, signed by 37th U.S. President Richard Nixon (1913-1994), as "Richard Nixon." A few gentle wrinkles and isolated minor foxing, else near fine. 6.25" x 9.375."

2. An 8" x 10" glossy black and white photograph depicting 38th U.S. President Gerald Ford (1913-2006) pitching a baseball, signed by him in gold metallic pen as "Gerald Ford" near the center. A modern reprint on Kodak photo paper.

3. An 8" x 10" glossy color photograph of 39th U.S. President Jimmy Carter (born 1924), signed by him as "J Carter" near the center. A modern reprint.

4. A vintage presentation photograph of 40th U.S. President Ronald Reagan (1911-2004), signed and inscribed by him as, "Dean Ward - All the Best To You + / Warm Regard / Ron" along the bottom margin. The 8" x 10" semi-glossy color photograph on Kodak paper is stamped "Official Photograph / The White House / Washington / 16 MA 83 13456 05" verso. Expected wear including isolated superficial marks on the photo surface, and scattered adhesive residue found recto and verso. 8" x 10."

5. A 1p typed letter signed by 41st U.S. President George H.W. Bush (1924-2018), as "George Bush" in his role as Director of the Central Intelligence Agency. Dated February 20, 1976. On thick watermarked paper with "Central Intelligence Agency / Washington, D.C. 20505" letterhead. 6.25" x 8.375."

6. A full title page excised from the Spanish language edition of Bill Clinton's autobiography "My Life," signed by 42nd U.S. President Bill Clinton (born 1946), as "Bill Clinton" near the center. [Bill Clinton, "Mi Vida" (New York: Alfred A. Knopf, 2004), translated by Claudia Casanova.] Some roughness to the left edge, else near fine. Accompanied by provenance information from the Second Story Bookshop (Chappaqua, New York).

7. A piece of promotional material signed by 43rd U.S. President George W. Bush (born 1946), as "George Bush" at the center to advertise his forthcoming memoir, "Decision Points" (New York: Crown Publishing Group, 2010). The bookplate is printed "Decision Points / George W. Bush" at top and bordered in black. Light expected wear, else near fine. 5" x 4.25."

Unless otherwise indicated, we do our own in-house worldwide shipping!

Applicable shipping and handling charges will be added to the invoice. We offer several shipping options, and remain one of the few auction houses who proudly provides professional in-house shipping as an option to our clients. All items will ship with signature required, and full insurance. Most items are sent via Federal Express, with P. O. Box addresses being sent through USPS. We insure through Berkley Asset Protection with rates of $.70 per $100 of value, among the lowest insurance rates in the industry. Our shipping department cameras document every package, both outgoing and incoming, for maximum security. In addition, we compare our shipping and handling rates against those of other auction houses, to ensure that our charges are among the lowest in the trade.

Upon winning your item(s), you will receive an invoice with our in-house shipping and handling fees included. ***We will ship to the address as it appears on your invoice. If any changes to the shipping address need to be made, you must inform us immediately.***

International shipments: In order to comply with our insurance provider, all international shipments will be sent via Fed Ex and customs paperwork will show a value of $1.00. International buyers should contact our office directly with any questions regarding this policy.

Third Party Shipping Option: If a third party shipper is preferred, the buyer is responsible for contacting them directly to make shipping arrangements. For your convenience, we have provided some recommended shippers.
