6 Presidents, VPs, Justices & More Sign Rare Bicentennial Book. A Unique Offering Feat. 21 Signatures with Docs That Shaped America!

Signed Limited Edition Hardcover Book, printed in 1976 to commemorate the United States' Bicentennial, entitled "THE CONSTITUTION OF THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA with the DECLARATION OF INDEPENDENCE and the ARTICLES OF CONFEDERATION." The impressive collection, which likely took years to complete, features 21 signatures, from 6 United States Presidents, 5 who served as Vice President, 2 Supreme Court Justices, Soviet President Mikhail Gorbachev, General Colin Powell and Secretary of State Henry Kissinger all presented in a wonderfully appropriate manner, bold and neatly written. The historic book is housed in its original, slip-in decorative box, and both the box and book are in excellent condition. The 96-page book measures 6.25" x 9.2," and is accompanied by a full LOA from PSA/DNA.

The signatures are uniquely signed as Ronald Wilson Reagan, George Herbert Walker Bush, and Richard Milhous Nixon have signed with their full names, an accomplishment we have yet to see on the same item in our history as a historical auction company.

Signing on what would be Page 1, alongside the Seal of the United States, are Presidents: "George Herbert Walker Bush", "Bill Clinton", "Gerald R. Ford", "Ronald Wilson Reagan", "Richard Milhous Nixon", and "Jimmy Carter". Also, signing on Page 1: Mikhail Gorbachev, the last President of the Soviet Union, "Al Gore", Vice President and Presidential candidate, and former Vice President Dan Quayle with his formal name, "James Danforth Quayle". In addition, former U. S. Secretary of State Henry Kissinger and General Colin Powell also signed this page. Former U. S. Supreme Court Justice Warren E. Berger signed in neatly written black ink at the top of the flyleaf to the left of Page 1. Signing on this flyleaf below Warren Burger's signature was "Sandra Day O'Connor," the first woman to become a U.S. Supreme Court Justice.

Signing on Page 5, President Jimmy Carter (his second signature in this lot, clearly written in ink); Rosalyn Carter, former First Lady as the wife of Jimmy Carter; George Bush, his second signature of this lot as "George Bush". Page 9 includes the signatures of Vice President and Presidential Candidate Walter Mondale, in red ink, and his wife, Joan Mondale, in blue ink.

This item comes with a Certificate from John Reznikoff, a premier authenticator for both major 3rd party authentication services, PSA and JSA (James Spence Authentications), as well as numerous auction houses.
