A good group of six vintage Burke images 4" x 6" each and signed by baseball greats of the past! Each is PSA encapsulated to overall dimensions of 6.5" x 10" and graded individually. Please view images for condition and see our terms for lots containing five or more items.

This lot includes:

1. Johnny Mize. A great kneeling pose signed in bright green ink and rated an amazing GEM MT 10! John R. Mize (1913-1993), nicknamed "Big Jaw" and "Big Cat," played for 15 season in the Major League for the4 NY Giants, St. Louis Cardinals and New York Yankees. During his time with the Yanks, the team won five consecutive World Series. Mize was inducted into the Hall of Fame in 1981.

2. Dixie Walker. A pensive head and shoulders pose, boldly signed diagonally across image with the cryptic message: "Regards from one cripple to another Dixie Walker." Graded NM-MT 8, with additional JSA sticker on verso. Fred. E. "Dixie" Walker (1910-1982) was a popular ballplayer, coach, scout and manager for the Brooklyn Dodgers who was a five-time All Star; his significant accomplishments and fanbase were diminished, however, by his attempts to bar Jackie Robinson from joining the Dodgers team in 1947.

3. Babe Herman. A classic image showing Herman swinging a bat. Signed diagonally across image and graded GEM MT 10! Floyd C. "Babe" Herman (1903-1987) was a professional baseball player and scout remembered for his tenure with the Brooklyn Dodgers.

4. Evar Swanson. An action image of Swanson showing his skills as a hitter, graded MINT 9. Evar Swanson (1902-1973) was a multi-sport athlete who player who played baseball for the Reds, White Sox, and on several football teams including the Chicago Cardinals. Remembered for being one of the fastest in baseball, Swanson set the still-unbroken record of rounding the bases in 13.3 seconds.

5. Red Faber. A head and shoulders image in uniform, signed at middle and graded NM-MT 8. Urban C. "Red" Faber (1888-1976) was a pitcher from 1914-1933, playing his entire career for the Chicago White Sox. He was one of last legal spitballers and was inducted into the Hall of Fame in 1964.

6. Eddie Cihocki. A smiling head and shoulders pose, signed at bottom adding "A's '33." Graded NM-MT 8. Edward Joseph Cihocki (1907-1987) was a shortstop with the Philadelphia Athletics for two seasons, 1932-33. He was inducted into the Hall of Fame in 1981.

Unless otherwise indicated, we do our own in-house worldwide shipping!

Applicable shipping and handling charges will be added to the invoice. We offer several shipping options, and remain one of the few auction houses who proudly provides professional in-house shipping as an option to our clients. All items will ship with signature required, and full insurance. Most items are sent via Federal Express, with P. O. Box addresses being sent through USPS. We insure through Berkley Asset Protection with rates of $.70 per $100 of value, among the lowest insurance rates in the industry. Our shipping department cameras document every package, both outgoing and incoming, for maximum security. In addition, we compare our shipping and handling rates against those of other auction houses, to ensure that our charges are among the lowest in the trade.

Upon winning your item(s), you will receive an invoice with our in-house shipping and handling fees included. ***We will ship to the address as it appears on your invoice. If any changes to the shipping address need to be made, you must inform us immediately.***

International shipments: In order to comply with our insurance provider, all international shipments will be sent via Fed Ex and customs paperwork will show a value of $1.00. International buyers should contact our office directly with any questions regarding this policy.

Third Party Shipping Option: If a third party shipper is preferred, the buyer is responsible for contacting them directly to make shipping arrangements. For your convenience, we have provided some recommended shippers. For your protection, we will require a signed release from you, confirming your authorization for us to release your lots to your specified third party. At that point, our responsibility and insurance coverage for your item(s) ceases. Items picked up by third party shippers are required to pay Connecticut sales tax. Items requiring third party shipping due to being oversized, fragile or bulky will be denoted in the item description.
