Danckelman & Schrader was a turn-of-the century South American firm that imported tobacco and manufactured cigars as well as cigarettes. The company was headquartered in Montevideo, Uruguay as well as Buenos Aires, Argentina, according to an advertisement in a ca. 1899 Montevideo-based newspaper. Danckelman & Schrader understood the appeal of advertising-themed collectibles. In addition to these real photograph trading cards, Danckelman & Schrader also launched a series of football (soccer) club trading silks as well as the flags of countries and cities.
