Asleep at the Wheel photo signed by seven band members

8" x 10" black and white glossy promotional photograph of the Western swing and country band Asleep at the Wheel signed by seven band members Cindy Cashdollar, Mike Francis, Ray Benson, John Whitby, David Miller, Jason Roberts, and David Sanger in black sharpie marker. In near fine condition with expected surface wear. Accompanied by a copy of a JSA Pre-certification Letter of Authenticity.

This William Morris Agency, Inc. promotional photo shows band members in cowboy hats, tailored vests, and leather jackets. Band mates congregate around an upright piano and hold other instruments. The band was managed by Bismeaux Productions, whose emblem appears in the bottom left corner.

This photo shows Ray Benson (born 1951), one of the two original co-founders of Asleep at the Wheel, at the center of the back row. The band, formed in West Virginia in 1969, was invited to Austin, Texas by Willie Nelson five years later. In 1975, the group released the Top 10 single "The Letter that Johnny Walker Read". During the last fifty years, over thirty band members have cycled through Asleep at the Wheel, but Benson has remained at the helm. In addition to the band, Benson has also produced and mentored contemporary country singers like the Dixie Chicks.
