Small Americana lot comprised of a signed Eric Sloane book with accompanying provenance material; and a circa 1890 memorandum book.

 

1. Eric Sloane, The Spirits of '76 (New York: Walker and Company, 1973), signed by the author Eric Sloane (1905-1985) as "Eric Sloane" in purple felt tip pen on the front end paper. The original dust jacket has some uneven toning, and a small closed tear verso. Else near fine. Later printing. 7.375" x 10.5". Accompanied by original provenance material including a business card from Mrs. Eric Sloane from Sloane's Warren, Connecticut gift shop The Unicorn, and a receipt dated August 18, 1980.

 

2. Mansfield's Memorandum and Medicine Book (Memphis, Tennessee: Mansfield Drug Company, 1890). With scattered pencil inscriptions interspersed between period advertisements and testimonials for products like "Mansfield's Louisiana Creole Hair Restorer."
