“That Night in Rio” starring Alice Faye, Don Ameche, and Carmen Miranda was released on April 11, 1941. When Miranda made pictures for 20th Century Fox, she would quickly cut recordings of the songs from it at a Decca studio. This was before original motion picture soundtracks were produced. “That Night in Rio” was Miranda’s second U.S. film and this three-record album, “A Night in Rio,” was her first which included songs from one of her motion pictures. While “Down Argentine Way” (1940) was her first U.S. film, no album was ever produced.

The records: (1) “I, Yi, Yi, Yi” on Side A. “Alô Alô” on Side B. (2) “Chica Chica Boom Chic” on Side A. “Bambalê” on Side B. (3) “Cae Cae” on Side A. “Arca De Noé” on Side B. Records do not appear to be scratched.
